Governance of Solid Waste has products

The process of governance of solid wastes in the municipality of Urubici – SC produced three strategies, a cultural strategy, a political strategy, and a pedagogical strategy. Although these products need to be finalized and sent so that they can remain viable, the governance process of solid waste was effective, producing solutions to community demand from her own, which was made possible through the empowerment promoted by the process.

Pedagogical Strategy

DSC01986 A Pedagogical Strategy consists of an Environmental Education Project entitled Urubici Zero Waste, a product built on the basis of proposals made by the community.Based on the understanding that the United pedagogical dimension in the management of common property beyond the disclosure of information and requires a cognitive view of the process of social participation, subject to the methodologies, theories and epistemes committed to a humane and humanistic perspective, this product is as a teaching strategy as it is potentially able to reduce the communication difficulties that act as barriers to the process of effective social participation in the management of solid waste.

Cultural Strategy

DSC01979 The Cultural Strategy is made up of a previous study for preparation of the Management of Municipal Solid Waste Urubici – SC, Product builds on the contributions made by the community in general throughout the sessions and specifically at the fifth meeting of the Training Course on Solid Waste, plus the study of the conditions of solid waste management conducted for the driver stage at City Hall .

Recognition of this product as a cultural strategy lies in its potential capacity, together with the pedagogical and political strategies to promote the dialogue of knowledge during the planning process and solid waste management, responding to the cultural void highlighted the difficulties of understanding between the technical knowledge and knowledge communities.

Preliminary Study for Preparation of the Municipal Solid Waste Management of Urubici-SC

Policy Strategy

DSC01933 Policy Strategy is to outline a partial Policy Municipal Solid Waste. This product is a political strategy of governance of the solid waste as potentially able to reduce the difficulties of implementing a public policy for solid waste, providing subsidies for their development that stems from social organizations, representatives of interests, and including cooperation as one of its foundations.

Curso de Resíduos Sólidos: Visita ao Centro de Triagem, Compostagem e Aterro Sanitário

Visitamos o Centro de Triagem, Compostagem e Aterro Sanitário no dia 3 de junho de 2009.

DSC01968O principal objetivo foi sensibilizar o grupo para a realidade local dos resíduos sólidos. A visita foi facilitada devido à participação de trabalhadores da central de triagem no grupo de governança. Os trabalhadores deram orientações e demonstrações de como deve ser feita a separação domiciliar dos resíduos.

A visualização in loco do destino dos resíduos que aparentam desaparecer após a entrega para a coleta, trouxe grande comoção e sensibilização para os participantes.

Curso de Capacitação em Educação Ambiental, Planejamento, Gestão de Resíduos Sólidos

Entre maio e junho foi realizado em Urubici o Curso de Capacitação em Educação Ambiental, Planejamento, Gestão de Resíduos Sólidos, parte do processo de Governança dos Resíduos Sólidos desenvolvido nesta comunidade desde março de 2009.

DSC01942O Curso foi realizado em seis encontros, com duração de três horas cada, nos dias 26, 27 de maio e 2,3,9 e 10 de junho. Foram cinco encontros em sala e uma saída de campo ao Centro de Triagem, Compostagem e Aterro Sanitário. Os seguintes assuntos foram abordados: Introdução ao Processo de Governança; Conceitos, Tecnologias e Gestão de Resíduos Sólidos; Leis de Resíduos Sólidos no âmbito nacional, estadual e municipal e Projetos de Educação Ambiental.
